RB Rankings 2024

It’s funny, a position that is notoriously valued by fantasy managers, ironically is devalued by general managers. For years, RB’s have been a foundation for fantasy teams most managers wouldn’t think twice about taking one in the first round of every fantasy draft, no matter the position. But with more and more NFL GM’s unwilling to pay a premium price for RB’s, we are finally starting to see the effect it has on fantasy football.

There is no secret, the NFL is a pass dominant league. Last year we saw just as many WR’s as to RB’s get drafted in the 1st round of fantasy drafts. However, each year is different to its own respect. This fantasy season The Dollaboys are putting emphasis on finding at least one true workhorse RB. This is otherwise known as the ‘Hero RB Strategy’ and is very viable when rounding out a fantasy football lineup.

RB’s are still the most valuable and crucial position in fantasy football, without a doubt. Just ask the CMC owners from the last two years. Our advice is to go out and get your ‘Hero RB’ in the first round. There will be plenty of WR depth available later in the draft. Solidifying that workhorse RB spot on your roster will make your path to a league championship that much easier.

With that being said, the so called “RB dead zone” in rounds 3-6 straight up doesn’t exist. It’s a myth and there can be just as much talent found there than any part of the draft. Don’t be afraid to fill in that second RB spot too early, you can never have too many RBs. If the WR’s you’re aiming for get taken, don’t panic and reach. Instead, stack up at a position like RB and work the trade market. After all, drafting is just half the skill. Here’s our full RB rankings:
