If you’re one of those people who draft a team defense before the 10th round, I’m sorry. In no circumstance should you ever draft a defense before building up a bench. Drafting a defense shouldn’t even be a thought in your mind until at least the 12th round. If we’re being honest, you don’t need to draft a defense until the second to last round.
Yeah having a top defense might feel like a flex, but in reality you’ll get way further in fantasy football by streaming different defenses week by week based on matchups rather than just riding with one defense all season. A strategy we use to draft a team defense is to pick a team that has an easy schedule to start the season. It’s not brain surgery, it really is that simple. Don’t overthink it or reach for a defense. be patient and trust the process.
